The next quest for improved performance and productivity is here. Much was learned through the 1980’s and 1990’s.
Reinvention and Renewal is an approach for leaders, managers and employees to envision the future, design and implement a measurable pilot (with real clients, products, employees and infrastructure) then plan the transition, all within a few months. Implementation sufficient for sustainability is completed within a year.
What puts our clients in the 30% of change projects that succeed?
- The CEO/COO enables others – is not a white knight on a trusty steed.
- Effective management systems enable performance – control does not.
- Engaged people create action – analysis, reports, blaming or shaming do not.
- Vision creates possibilities – urgency and crisis creates short-term problem solving.
- The only early win is a full pilot of the customers, process, people – there are no quick fixes.
- Most big opportunities are between (not within) tasks, things and people.
- Communication includes information, ideas, proposals, questions, listening – it is not tell and sell.
- Measurable outcomes are holistic: about customers, employees, operations, organization and the bottom-line – not hard targets that limit the possibilities and prescribe the solution.
- Technology is an enabler of processes and people – not a solution to be worked around.
How does it work?
Executive Sponsors: All sponsoring executives define desired outcomes for their leaders and select a key business strategy. The strategy is essential to the success of the organization and will be implemented over the next 10 – 12 months.
Innovation Advantage 2020 creates and customizes The Leadership Incubator© to expand the envelope for individual learning and for organizational performance while realizing strategic outcomes.
The sponsoring executive selects a group of high-potential leaders to assess, challenge, develop and empower. Participants are a group of leaders (typically vice presidents, directors of departments or senior
managers) who have potential to lead a business unit or a portfolio of functions, and need to demonstrate competency in leading across departments or a system. They will learn and practice individual
leadership competencies while they plan, implement and realize results for the business strategy positively impacting their customers, organization and bottom-line.
The selected group of high-potential leaders develop, integrate and apply learning through:
- On-the-job application in their current and strategic role.
- Experiential workshops: reflection, preparation and practice of individual leadership competencies and actions to implement the selected strategy successfully.
- 1:1 leadership coaching sessions to explore individual leadership competencies, motivators and barriers to greater success.
- Group coaching sessions for all participants to focus on actions, interaction with others, resistance to change, learning and options for the next steps for realizing measurable outcomes.
Each program is a process that begins where the client organization is and is customized to integrate individual learning agendas and capacity, processes of the organization and complexity of the strategy.
